Begin your day with a scenic ride along California's picturesque coastline with its miles and miles of white sandy beaches and unique landscape.

Our destination is the beautiful seaside community of Carlsbad. The whole family will delight over the wonders of fabulous Legoland®, a family theme park, especially for youngsters 2 through 12 years old, and the first of its kind in the United States.

Imagine the thrill you and your family will get out of speeding and twisting along the razor sharp curves and dips of the Park's newest attraction - LEGO® Technic Coaster or taking a stroll from New York to California in Mini-land USA.

And there are plenty of other fun things to do all day in a series of themed areas, or "Blocks," as we call them, clustered around an enchanting lake. Spend the day moving from one interactive attraction to another via peaceful, shady winding paths - a brief change of gear before coming up on your next amazing adventure.

The Beginning:
The fun starts at the brightly colored entrance fanning out across the plaza, which opens up to The Lake. The Big Shop located in the opening promenade offers the largest selection of LEGO® toys and merchandise in the country.

Village Green:
Here guests drive a jeep on a safari trek through Africa to see incredible life-sized LEGO® giraffes, zebras, lions & wildlife. Take a boat ride through favorite storybook adventures. There are also Water Works, where children play with water and DUPLO Playtown featuring a colorful train, farm and town play area. All ages welcome.

The Ridge:
This Block offers two challenging rides for young adventurers. Constructed of huge LEGO® parts, the pedal cars of the Sky Cruiser travel over a track that peaks and dips around the ridge and lip of The Lake. From the top of the Kid Power Towers guests can view the entire Park and the Pacific Ocean before they free-fall back to the bottom of this self-propelled ride.

Fun Town:
Kids can learn to drive real electric cars and earn their official LEGOLAND® California drivers license. Young pilots can take control of helicopters, planes and real boats.

Block of Fame: A winding tree-lined walkway and scenic overlook into a fun and educational, 3-dimensional art gallery lined with classic works of art and busts of historical figures and pop icons made entirely from LEGO blocks! Among the collection look for Auguste Rodin's The Thinker sculpture and Vincent Van Gogh's Sun Flowers as well as Abraham Lincoln, Shakespeare and Marilyn Monroe.

Coastersaurus: Thundering into the newest area of Legoland® California – Dino Island – Coastersaurus spends up to 18 mph as it climbs, curves and dips in and around a Jurassic jungle of animated and life-size LEGO brick dinosaurs!

Dig Those Dinos: Dino Island will feature the interactive area – Dig Those Dinos – that will allow young guests to test the paleontology skills as they dig for the "skeletal remains" of dinosaurs buried in sand pits. Claws, teeth and bones as well as full-size skeleton reproductions will be waiting to be unearthed by junior excavators!

Fun Town Fire Academy: Another new ride for the entire family! LEGO fire trucks race across a straightaway then riders pump water through a hose to put out a "burning" building. The hilarious workout will test a family's fitness, speed and funny bone!

Miniland Las Vegas: See the world-famous Strip, including 10 different hotel properties chosen for their unique architectural style: the Luxor Las Vegas, New York, New York Hotel and Casino, Excalibur, Mirage, Treasure Island, Tropicana, MGM Grand, Venetian, Stratosphere tower & two iconic structures of Paris Las Vegas, the balloon sign and Eiffel Tower. "The Strip" at LEGOLAND also features a miniature wedding chapel, monorails and real life sounds recorded in Las Vegas.

Dune Raiders - opening June 25, 2009
Experience a 30-foot high attraction on this ultimate slide experience featuring six side-by-side 50-foot long racing lanes and a pair of double-helix corkscrews. Themed in an Egyptian motif complete with interactive Lego model scenes, Dune Raiders is fun for the entire family!
